Mike Suchmann is an experienced Director, Writer and Photographer based in Long Island, New York. He is one of the founders and Head Director of Trash Head Productions, a video production company that has been making short films & music videos for the last two years.
Whether shooting short films, music videos or fashion photoshoots, Mike's interest remains in the ability to invoke an emotional response from an audience. Through the documentation of heightened beauty or abject horror, Mike is fascinated in the extreme power of striking imagery and original characters.
Over the course of his creative years, Mike has studied at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU) in the Czech Republic, Harvard & Los Angeles based New York Film Academies, and New York's International Center of Photography. He has also received a B.F.A in film at the College of Visual & Performing Arts (VPA) at Syracuse University.
Mike has attended numerous film festivals with various projects of his, including the 2018 Cannes Film Festival where his 35mm Czech short, “Ponožky,” (Socks) was included in the Cannes Short Film Corner. Mike is also an active member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) as well as the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS).
